Author's Background: (August 5, 1908 – February 7, 1997) was a filipino poet, literary critic, short story writer, and painter.He was awarded the National Artist of the Philippines title for literature in 1973, as well the Guggenheim Fellowship in creative writhing by Conrad Aiken. He is known to have introduced the "reversed consonance rhyme scheme" in writing poetry.

Summary
One day, Dodong was sitting tight for his dad to inform him concerning his expectations with Teang. He was reluctant at first yet was resolved to let him know. His dad was dependably a quiet persevering rancher. Dodong marshaled up the fearlessness and began heading back home while contemplating how to let him know. Despite the fact that he might be 17, Dodong trusts that he is prepared to wed Teang. He arrived home, and after that they all had dinner. A while later, Dodong went upstairs to converse with his dad. He needed to let him know rapidly before his mom returns. At long last, he educated his dad concerning his expectation, energetically expecting his assent. The father took a gander at him with icy eyes and said nothing; it helped him to remember his more youthful days. The father had no real option except to consent to his child's proposition. Later on, Teang got pregnant, Dodong was holding up outside, excessively embarrassed, making it impossible to confront his folks. After Teang conceived an offspring, they brought Dodong to come over and held his hands to give him the quality to confront this minute. A long time passed by as Dodong had more kids. Dodong understood that he discarded his childhood and experienced such troublesome circumstances. He pondered what might have happened in the event that he had not hitched so early. Blas, the primary youngster, being 18… One night, he got back home glad and bothered it was late and his family was sleeping. Dodong considered Blas to be he couldn't rest. Blas delicately mumbled: "Itay, I am will wed Tona". Dodong advised Blas to tail him outside to talk. Dodong rememebered his dad's words and said the same to Blas. Dodong saw himself in Blas when he was more youthful. Dodong really wanted to give his assent. He felt tragic about what will Blas experience.

Always be patience in life because if you have a intention in marrying someone you msut be patience try to finish everything as in the end if your ready, you are ready for supporting your family needs. If you dont have patience you cannot live well properly when have an early marriage life it will be hard for you.
